I noticed on USM's website that the players were practicing with the gold helmets but for games they wear the black helmets. Do you think the color change in helmets effects gameplay? Just curious.

You aren't serious are you? Please tell me this isn't a serious question....I know we are all looking for answers to this nightmare but......come on....

I think it's a legit question. Lay off man. Don't be a dick. I would thinkSeth that the QBS would have a little adjustment as they have Gold in their memory or "minds eye" ...so yea Maybe it would ...

The travesty is obvious I simply ask because it would seem that it would make receiving more difficult but I could be wrong.

"The targets are usually fluorescent orange or black, but other colors
such as white, or yellow are frequently used in order that they can be
clearly seen against varying backgrounds and/or light conditions." Yes, color matters.

Who knows? The University of Oregon seems to emphasize several uniform/helmet combinations. They say it helps recruiting. Who are we to argue? Were you ever in the Army? A soldier who looks great performs great. Called esprit de corps???

I remember when Hank Stram was the coach of the Saints when they really sucked. He had the defense wear the colors of that weeks opponents. Didn't make a difference...the Saints still sucked. So no, helmets aren't the problem...
