I was there yesterday and don't understand the unforced errors like not attempting to catch ball at second on stolen base attempt ( it goes to outfield). Another play not attempting to throw baserunner out at 2nd from cutoff man to second ( just held the ball like a little league play). Throwing 50-60 percent of throws to 1st in the dirt, and for the life of me how do you attempt to pick off a invisible baserunner at 1st? Over confidence and cockiness will get you beat on a regular basis and I think we were mentally totally out of it yesterday. Today was error free ball but not a lot of hits for us but am proud of the win, with that said we will not get far in this tourney without scoring lots of runs, these teams we are playing know we are top dog and they are crushing the ball and giving us over and above their best shot and we have to match their intensity or we are in trouble. I know we can do it but our guys have got to get back to big innings offensively. I think Colt may be able to start the Sunday game if we get that far because he didn't throw a ton of pitches.
