Georgia State played its last game at its long time arena on Friday night. It’s been in use for nearly 50 years. They will begin playing their games in a new 7,500-seat Convocation Center from now on. It’ll be a big upgrade in basketball facilities for them. It’s by the old Turner Field (where the Braves used to play) that is now Georgia State’s football stadium. Here is a rendering that shows what the Convocation Center will look like from the inside.
