What's the matter with him. His Alma Mater, just down the road, and he hardly ever shows up there. Instead, he goes to South Carolina from which the fiasco Ellis Johnson came, and encourages them ? Surely not for money. He doesn't seem to care anything about Southern Miss. Very disappointing. If not for USM, he wouldn't have all the millions of dollars he has.

I saw a couple of posts made in articles that said Brett's daughter was on a recruiting visit for volleyball. Don't know if it's fact, but that would explain Brett being there.

i was watching the SEC network the other day. I was hoping to catch some coverage of the usm/msu game, and saw steve spurrier being interviewed.

they asked him about some visitors at practice. he said brett favre and his family were in town visiting campus bc his daughter may play volleyball there. afterwards, favre came by to watch practice so spurrier introduced him to the team and let him say a few words.

spurrier said that one thing that favre talked about that was good for everyone to hear, was how good and nice the facilities are at USC. Favre said he was used to seeing USM's facilities and that South Carolina's was top notch.

on another note, MSU's coach was pretty classy when interviewed about the game and spoke of the rivalry. they are well aware of our transfers. he doesn't seem to be too concerned though.

We could have MUCH MORE open support from Brett, MUCH MORE personal involvement, and could have had MUCH MORE success over the last several years. That's all could have, should have, would have.

I don't see anything at all to be upset about him visiting there even if his daughter wasn't considering playing volleyball . He is a free man to do what he wants.
