Eagles open as 20.5 point favorites over Rice

No way I'd lay that many points, but this Rice team is bad. We may get Bailiff fired if we have another game like last year.

So what do you think the mindset of odds makers is? Obviously they want to make money.

I have not bet on a game in many years, so I am way behind. However, do they make a point spread that large and hope that people are ignorant enough to take the bet?

What, in your opinion, do you believe they think will happen?

Odd makers goal is to get equal money on both sides. Then they win regardless (VIG). They take a big risk is $$$$ is on one side and that side wins....

If the spread grows they are not getting enough on Rice. Since we have not put a whole game togather I am not sure I would give up the 24 points.
