Do you see any way this game happens in North Carolina???

Unless it turms into a Harvey and dumps Biblical amounts of causing flooding. Boone is on the far western edge so perhaps it will be spared the worst rain.

The game might be canceled as a precaution but has not been yet. Appalachian State has already canceled classes starting Wednesday night.

This is looking more and more like a Harvey situation where yes the cat 4 hurricane did significant damage on the coast, but it then went on to dump ungodly amount of rains elsewhere in the state. Florence is taking a track similar to 1989's Hurricane Hugo which absolutely smashed South Carolina.
