That is spin from a State site. It is a local store supporting USM. They are doing some smart marketing saying come buy here and we will give you your purchase for free when the home team wins. I love it. Great for USM and the store. I wish more stores did something like this to support the school. ISMTTT

Yes I don't know Butch but I see him at all USM games so He is a true supporter. I think he thought it was a cute idea. Which I did too. We worry too much about what some idiots up north think. They spend all their time complaining about the 9 o'clock start and that only bush league teams play that late and they are the mighty MSU of the SEC. Well They play 8.15 the next week. Nobody brings that up. I hope we put a foot up their butt. We have been fed way too much humble pie the last year with nobody thinking we have a chance and then the clarion ledger telling us today we should consider it a victory even if we lose. We have a chance. I hope to look up in the first quarter USM up 14-0 and Quincy Russell holding dac over his head pile driving him to the turf. Don't mind discussing at all. If you don't see the difference in playing a home game at 8:15 and playing a game on the road four hours away starting at 9:00, I just can't help you. It's not the 15 minutes .. it's the 4 hour drive after that's going to keep it from being a 'maroon out' in MM Roberts. This will be the first MSU-USM game I will miss seeing 'in-person' since 1967 .. and I live in Virginia.

Oh, and State had no problem selling out DWS stadium last year. Had SRO, with 61,889 in attendance and sold every ticket .. even the ones y'all couldn't sell.

And, as far as Quincy Russell "holding up" anything, you might just want to do a little investigating to try and determine exactly 'why' he got kicked off the sooner team. According to his facebook .."I didn't do nothing bro the [expletive] said I was a cancer to the team." Hope he works out better than last year .. "Russell played in 2 games for Sooners and assisted on 3 tackles." .. And, was subsequently dismissed for 'undisclosed reasons.'

Last year's game .. he only had 4 catches for 65 yards but two were TDs. If he has a decent year .. will probably depart early for the NFL .. looking at high 2nd round at this point.

Apparently, you don't read very well. Big whup .. you haven't missed a HOME game in years. Must really be tough to get a ride from the trailer park over to Hardy Street. Plus the extra trip over to Krogers to pick up the free tix .. poor boy.

I stated .. "I haven't missed a SINGLE MSU-USM game (that includes Starkville, 'burg or Starkville) since 1967" .. AND, I live in Virginia .. 850 miles away. Have YOU been to every one of those? Thought so.

Oh, and thousands of MSU fans made the trip to Death Valley to see us beat LSU last year AND next week's game against LSU will be a hard sell out with or without a single tiger fan showing up. I didn't really want to hurt your feelings .. BUT the 'burg is NOT Baton Rouge and there are a lot of State fans that just don't want to put up with a bunch of degenerates that don't care if their team wins or loses .. your words, by the way.

I guess we'll see how badly Cousin Eddy wants to beat Southern Miss. My guess is he'll wait until Northwestern State to punish him because he will be pulling out all stops to avoid the loss headed his way on Saturday.

Sorry, but Dan doesn't work that way. Never has and don't seeing him change this year. Wilson's playing status won't be announced until right before game time. Historically, discipline for past year 'digressions' have ALWAYS been the first game .. doesn't matter if it's been Jackson State or Oklahoma State. And, most have been for the whole game. Would love to see him play the second half but am not counting on it.

I do think it is one factor in keeping down player dalliances.
