— Here comes Southern Miss … If you’ve read our content over the past few weeks, you know how we feel about the Golden Eagles on the mound. They’re elite in that department. But to make some serious noise this spring and in the postseason, the offense desperately needed to step up after a slow start. Well, we wondered if the offense finally would get rolling against old C-USA rival Louisiana Tech over the weekend, and the answer is yes. The Golden Eagles scored 20 runs the first two games of the series, winning games 9-4 and 11-3.
