Southern Miss Athletics Announces Safety Measures for 2021 Home Baseball Season
HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss Athletic Department announced today the implementation of safety measures for baseball fan attendance at home games for the 2021 season in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. In compliance with the current executive order issued by Governor Tate Reeves, restrictions will set attendance capacity at 25% at Pete Taylor Park/Hill Denson Field.
At this time, only season ticket holders will be permitted to attend games this season, and all allotted season tickets have been sold out. No single game tickets will be available. Should restrictions ease, the seating capacity may increase. In the meantime, fans can place deposits to join the baseball season ticket holder wait list. Deposits are $50 per seat and are refundable if no seats become available.

Other safety measures at Pete Taylor Park for the 2021 baseball season include:
- Social distancing while in the grandstands, concourses, concession stand lines, and restroom lines.
- Mandatory face coverings at all times while in the park. Fans must wear face coverings to enter the park, while in transit throughout the park, and while seated. Masks may be removed for eating and drinking.
- Digital/contactless ticketing will be the preferred ticket delivery method, unless physical tickets are requested.
- Hand sanitizer stations will be located at entrances and throughout the ballpark.
- Increased cashless only concession and merchandise stands; limited cash stands will still be available.
