Former Delta State Baseball Coach, now AD, Mike Kinnison is having his number retired today at Delta State. It’s a great honor considering the only other two with numbers retired are the legendary Dave “Boo” Ferris and Bill Marchant.
I had the honor of playing for Coach K at DSU alongside Coach Oss and Jeremy McLain. Kinnison is the most intense and passionate coach I’ve ever seen. Some will call BS on it but I would put him as the best baseball coach ever in the state. His stats prove it.

I know this isn’t USM related other than through Oss and McClain, but just wanted to acknowledge him on the day his number is retired.
