I've had enough. We will never again have the proud program we once had. I have a lot of other causes where my money will be better spent. Just have had enough.

No, we will never be that program again. We have underachieved since 2001, and in all actuality, we were underachieving as far back as 96 when we were winning the conference. Remember when we were pegged by everyone as being the first non-BCS conference team to break into a BCS game. And then we peed down our legs every time we really got noticed. We have not ever reached the heights we were expected to even when winning the conference. But since that 2001 game against Louisville we have never fully recovered. Sure we had that 11 win season, against weak competition mostly, and still choked the UAB game away. But as far as actually competing every single year for a conference title like we did from 1996 till 2003.......no. Those days are gone and will never come back. CUSA is not as good as it once was. Does not have the notoriety. Recruiting has suffered. And we do not have the money nor facilities to improve it or to hire better coaches. We now are at the point we just have to hope we can make a bowl game and for 7 wins most years and maybe compete for a conference title once every 5-6 years. Every team that used to look up to us that we routinely beat, they passed us by. Now we get to look at them and be jealous that they figured out how to keep moving forward while we got in our own way.
