Horrible loss to UTEP. It is simple; we do not have a basketball team. If anything proves it just ask anyone that listened to that game. Much is said about how tired the players are and how short of players we are. I don't buy it. The reason we are headed to the bottom is the fact we are pitiful However; if by some stretch of the imagination, we can beat Rice we will not finish last MTSU will. If we lose to Rice and MTSU wins out, it is a different story .Assuming we do not win another game which is highly possible. As you know I have kept up with the Battle for the bottom pretty much all year and now it is down to the short rows. The calculation that I am using has nothing to do with bonus play for a birth in the tournament but total wins and losses for all games played this season.
