I am just curious how baseball pitchers are determined.. Like I know we usually start our ace on Fridays, but with a week like this one, where we are the odds to win the Charlotte series, why couldnt we mix it up a little ?
Like start our ace against State tonight and put him on a pitch count. Then treat our ace like we are in the tourney, only start him after we lose. Meaning, if we beat Charlotte on Friday and Saturday, then he just gets the week off, because that was how important the State game was. But If we lose any Charlotte game before we win then bring him in on the next game.
We are not losing bad mid week games, but we need to win a few of the good RPI games though.
