Always enjoy seeing Looserville get beat *

I've never really liked the Cards either. Because they are in a good market they get into a bigger conference. Schools should be rewarded for their success on the field and USM has yet to receive their reward IMO. Still in this lousy conference. I'm not sure what has to happen for us to get out.

It is frustrating when you think about that. So many schools have been able to use CUSA as a stepping stone. For example I think we helped get ECU in CUSA and then they move on. It's like I'm tired of helping other schools move on.

USM certainly had more success up until the mid 1990's, when Schnellenberger was able to get Papa John's Stadium built. Since then, Louisville has made the most of their resources. Their program peaked right about the time conference expansion & realignment began.

If conference expansion had occurred 10 years earlier, USM would have been right in the mix.

Yes I think so. I've never like playing UAB. All the Alabama schools "mark their calendar" for USM. South Alabama, UAB, Troy, etc. But in the sugar bowl or not Fedora was leaving and with it the progress of our program back then.
