I think you will have to get permission because of the fence and gates on it.
It's another BAD subject with me. I can't get a straight answer from anyone high up about how that project was paid for.
Originally was told that was paid for by combination of a grant (30%) then school matching (70%). My problem with that was why the hell we spend that much money when sooooooo many more pressing needs.
Then I heard it was paid for with private donations from former Pride members. My problem with that is, why the hell do they constantly complain about needing New uniforms or not have funds to travel to games. If that got boosters to pay for this, stop asking me to pay for your stuff.
Overall, we have way more financial needs at this university to be paying out for fields that are not needed and sidewalks that could have waited until another day.
Truth is if any of you don't know, one major shake up in administration happened this past week. That change is ok with me. I wouldn't mind another change except even higher up in Admin. And a big powwow this past Tuesday on cutting programs departments and teaching positions in the university. Same old story as before, high ups blame cuts in funding from jackson. But despite what comes out in the fall press releases, we are still losing enrollment.
The administration is either lost or in denial.
It should be obvious that at little old USM we don't need anymore bookworms in charge of the school, we need a political animal who can get strings pulled for the school. And they should forget trying to pull strings in Jackson and bypass it to get some string pulling in DC. Face it guys, we will get no help from jackson so it's gotta come from DC.
