I will never forget State winning in Roberts Stadium the same way in 1989. It was the year we beat #6 Florida State with Brett at QB.

I just know when USM was doing horrible many people jumped ship and went to FailState. I even know former USM cheerleaders who now root for Mistake. So to see them lose to a team we beat is light for me.

Too bad we couldn't have played State the first game of this season. We looked pretty good against Kentucky at the time. I am not sure why Dan stuck with State. He must have known it was going to all come crashing down when Prescott left.

I had so many of my childhood and high school friends go to MS State and it never persuaded me to go there! I loved my time at Southern Miss!! Yeah it was the kool thing to do now is root for State and go to there games when Dak was QB!

State had a once in a lifetime QB. They will probably not have that type of talent again for a long time. They have moved back to where they belong.

We need to continue to move back to where we belong. Sure, many would say bad in the SEC is better than good in CUSA (and monetarily, they are correct), but I would rather be winning.
