Well…I will be the first to admit this isn’t what I expected through 6 games. I was anticipating 4-2 at the worst, based on all that I was hearing about the strength of the team being the o-line, Trey Lowe etc. My guess was that the defense would be our weakest link. I was very excited about the energy Hall brought and mistakenly equated it to winning. Our results thus far are nearly 100% related to what coach Hall inherited. If y’all will remember, Monken went 1-11 his first year and arguably had more talent than we have today. I posted Saturday that this was ELOSS 2.0, and I still believe that, but not from a coaching standpoint. This situation is different in that ELOSS ruined the players; this is that Hopson left us bone dry in depth and talent. We do have some very talented players, just not enough to win with. I’ve been a season ticket holder and Eagle Club member for 25 years, and I’m not giving up on this team. I expect though, to see measured improvement from week to week, and that hasn’t happened. So that’s my worthless 2 cent opinion on our mid year results. I am expecting BIG improvement in basketball. SMTTT!!!
