Fall Camp Day 2 Blog

The Golden Eagles held their second straight day of Fall Camp Thursday. One thing is for sure, the players, coaches and administration are acting as if there will be no delays to the start of their season. The Eagles were once again in only helmets and spent a lot of time implementing both their offense and defense. With 2 new coordinators, this time is important because it has been 9 months since the Eagles played a game or practiced. Nothing new so far out of camp, ut we did get to speak to new OC Matt Kubik, DL Jacques Turner, and WR Tim Jones. Eagles will return to the practice field tomorrow and will begin practicing in shoulder pads and helmets Saturday.

Update about football practice coverage.....

Due to Covid, practice will be closed to all except players and staff this football season. Do not fear because I have already figured this would happen. I have worked on setting things up that I can still get inside info from practice and update you guys on what is going on and how players are looking. I just want to be transparent to you guys about this. You will get practicing coverage that you all are used to. Hope you all understand and thanks being a member of the board. Also, I am 17 days away from walking, thanks for all the prayers.

P-Five schedule for 2020,

This is what they have been wanting for a while and now they are making use of it because of the virus. If it is able to play out this year they will get an idea of how it will work by not playing any G-5 teams. But the bottom feeders will not like the results. Teams like Ole Miss and State, will be scrambling every year to schedule the bottom feeders of the rest of the P-5 just so they can win a game, and the Kansas of the world will be trying to schedule them as well hoping for a win. Ole Miss and State will be a 2-3 team win team at most year in year out and would lose fans, donations and students.
The G-5 would form their on conference and play each other and have their on play off and really would be much better off. Would get TV contract from Fox and CBS,(who said the SEC bidding was too high for them). The G-5 would redo their conference teams such as names, swapping team to keep traveling down and creating a rivalry among teams. We would actually be better off and make more money. Face it, we need something to happen because the G5 was not going anywhere and it needed this to force us to do something. And crap people like Judy will be kicked out on her ass and the NCAA will be good for the G5 but Mark Emmert will be fired and someone will be hired that will run a stout ship and get the G5 going. We don't need the P5 and they will soon find out that their money will run out and how much they needed us but after it is too late.
