NCAA Grade Report: How is the NCAA handling issues in 2020

Merriam-Webster defines “leadership” as (1) the office or position of a leader, (2) the capacity to lead, and (3) the act or instance of leading. The NCAA is the governing agency of intercollegiate athletics at the NCAA Division I, II, and III levels. The NCAA and its’ 500 employees interpret and support member legislation, run all championships, and manage programs that benefit student-athletes.

Update about team and Covid testing....

Southern Miss is getting or already has a testing machine that will test for Covid in 15 min. This is a positive for the team and shows the support the athletes have. Also it really seems that Todd McCall and his staff have really done a wonderful job during this. There are no numbers about how many players have had or been exposed to Covid, but from what I am told the number is not very high and almost all of the team is practicing.

NCAA Ruling on Eligibility

I don't know when the ruling came out, but listening to Chip Kelly on the Dan Patrick show this morning, he mentioned that they finally got a ruling from the NCAA (which was the first ruling on anything so far). Players who "Opt-Out" (or play in less than 50% of the games) will retain their eligibility for the next season.

This could have a lot of impacts on players decisions as well as scholarship issues for the following year.
