Bad enough to read some of the posts here with all the ugly rumors, but having to see that pompous woman in that ad here is just adding more grief.

I don't see what you guys are seeing...must be reading your cookies and assuming y'all are democrates. LOL

Or maybe thinking if folks are believing all this "fact" posting and conspiracy theories that they just might buy into a "fact" that Mr. President has done a great job.

I got the Gieco Gecko and "SYNC" ads. Now Charles Schwab has joined them. A higher class of ad for me!

Tell barack I'm in. I really cannot understand anyone but one of his fellow morons, oh shuchs a misspelling, being for Romney. Now, let's keep this as a pro Southern Miss list serve and leave the politics out.

So you are enjoying record unemployment, record poverty, $5 gas, utilities that have tripled in cost, the most divided we've ever been, and his ridculous arrogance?

Where are you getting your $5 gas claim from? Got a link?
I also love how people continue to forget that he inherited the worst recession since the drepression. As if that all of a sudden doesn't matter anymore. You can also throw a lot of the blame on the republicans and tea baggers for the divided state of our union.

No. people like you obama supporters that call people vulgar names just because they don't support your socialist agenda are what has caused the division. Obama acting like a clown and using the office of the potus as his personal open mic night to constantly insult, ridicule, and berate his oppenents has caused the division. The worst economy since the GD has caused the division. None of which conservatives are responsible for. Gas has been well over $4 out west. $5 gas is coming, as obama and his clan have stated that's what they want.

Be interested in knowing one thing in which your president has shown leadership that has been a positive to our nation.

Legendary, I'm sure you realize you cannot put the total blame for the state of the economy on Obama's shoulders. It started before he was in office. You could possibly debate his poor vision for a lack of recovery and monumental debt.

The real blame rest on the shoulders of the likes of Barney Frank and Chris Dodd. They consistently blamed anyone in Congress opposed to their loosening of regulations for mortgages as a racist. The media ran with it, and all caved. Now we have been mired in a real estate depression; a market that pretty much the whole economy revolved around.

Thanks for sharing Legendary. BTW- when Dems took over Congress and the economy subsequently tanked do you think they were just practicing failed policies of the past they thought would work, or do you think they wrecked it on purpose?

I don't think any of our politicians would intentionally wreck our economy. I think the Democrats are just stupid or arrogant. The socialist agenda they push has destroyed too many powerful economies to count. It has never worked. Either they're too stupid to realize that they are pushing those failed policies, or they are so arrogant that they actually think that they can make it work for the first time in history.

The funny thing is that they have spent the last 4-6 years whining about "failed Bush policies", yet they have taken those "failed policies" and super-sized them with their insane spending. That's why the economy has tanked under Obama and Dem leadership.

Legendary Obama admitted with his own lips that he didn't care if his own policy hurt the economy as long as it promoted "fairness." In other words his first priority is to spread the wealth at all costs. Its not about jobs, its not about the environment, its not about....., its about taking from those that have and giving to those that don't have. And that includes 3rd world countries. That's what the Kyoto treaty was, not the environment. It would have hurt the environment, but it would have transferred wealth from the U S to the 3rd world. At that big environmental conference in Europe the biggest applause of the event went to the mention of spreading the wealth, not saving the environment. And meanwhile the people behind spreading the wealth make sure they spread a bunch into their pockets at the same time. What a scam.

Yep. It's absolutely nauseating that some people are stupid enough to still support Obama. I mean, really. How stupid do you have to be to support that?

The same way some people were still stupid enough to support George W. Bush. Or the few that stood supporting someone like Jimmy Carter. Some people have been on both sides of that fence. If the man believes he's the guy for the job, let him believe it. That's why this nation is great. You can have these differing opinions.

Bush had a great first term. The way he handled 9/11 was historic, and America was prospering. Also, the alternatives to Bush (Gore and Kerry) were nightmare scenarios for America. Even the economic decline towards the end of Bush's second term can't be pinned on him. The housing bubble created by Barney Frank and Bill Clinton is what destroyed our economy.

But there are still plenty of pretty terrible things that Bush did. He did do some things well, I concur, such as the initial surges in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. I don't think the success stayed as they progressed, however. Also, his No Child Left Behind system is, in my humble opinion, a horrid thing done unto education in this country. It's one of my major contentions with Obama that not much has been done since to fix, rectify, or get rid of it to this point. The switch to Common Core will be interesting. I like the concept, but we'll see how it works in practice.

Your point was that people were dumb to support Bush's re-election. My point was that he had a great first term. It was logical to support him for another term. I agree that he didn't do everything right, but the majority of his failures came in his second term when democrats overtook congress. He let them bully him into rampant overspending and government bailouts.

His presidency was much different than the utter failure of Obama. He has been a complete disaster from the beginning, with no positives to tout in this election cycle. "Hope and change" has turned into "Hype and Blame", and he has proven beyond a doubt that he is unfit to hold the office of the POTUS. And yes, anyone that still supports him is a complete moron that cares more about their political party than they do about America's success.

I think your last statement about supporting parties and not the individual is the most accurate thing you've said....as long as it's applied to both parties.

And I don't necessarily think Bush was deserving of reelection. He just happened to benefit from an even weaker candidate in opposition.
