On the Vietnam War....
"I am convinced that if we are to get on the right side of the world revolution, we as a nation must undergo a radical revolution of values"

" These are revolutionary times. All over the globe men are revolting against old systems of exploitation and oppression and out of the wombs of a frail world new systems of justice and equality are being born. The shirtless and barefoot people of the land are rising up as never before. "The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light." We in the West must support these revolutions. It is a sad fact that, because of comfort, complacency, a morbid fear of communism, and our proneness to adjust to injustice, the Western nations that initiated so much of the revolutionary spirit of the modern world have now become the arch anti-revolutionaries. This has driven many to feel that only Marxism has the revolutionary spirit. Therefore, communism is a judgement against our failure to make democracy real and follow through on the revolutions we initiated. "
Beyond Vietnam speech 4 April 67

MLK on his love for Mississippi ....
"I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a desert state, sweltering with the heat of injustice and oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice."
I have a Dream 28 August 63
MLK on his love for the people of Philadelphia MS.....
"This is a terrible town. The worst I've seen. There is a complete reign of terror here."
July 24, 1964

MLK on the need for prayer....
"I endorse it. I think it was correct." concering the Supreme Court removing prayer from school ( PLAYBOY magazine interview 1965)

King's son condoning a black on white hate crime...
"You are a fine young man and I intend to keep pushing until justice is served "
Martin Luther King III Jena LA to Mychal Bell of Jena 6

For those who think racism is simply a Southern thing....
"I have never in my life seen such hate," "Not in Mississippi or Alabama “ MLK On Chicago

On being a socialist...
You can’t talk about solving the economic problem of the Negro without talking about billions of dollars. You can’t talk about ending the slums without first saying profit must be taken out of slums. You’re really tampering and getting on dangerous ground because you are messing with folk then. You are messing with captains of industry… Now this means that we are treading in difficult water, because it really means that we are saying that something is wrong…with capitalism… There must be a better distribution of wealth and maybe America must move toward a Democratic Socialism.

"the movement must address itself to the question of restructuring the whole of American society. There are forty million poor people," King elaborated for his colleagues. "And one day we must ask the question, 'Why are there forty million poor people in America?' And when you begin to ask that question, you are raising questions about the economic system, about a broader distribution of wealth. When you ask that question you begin to question the capitalistic economy."

Other than the Jenna 6 quote, I agree with what is written, and the Jenna 6 was not MLK, rather, one of his kin. Black/Gold

That's what I said.....
King's son condoning a black on white hate crime...
"You are a fine young man and I intend to keep pushing until justice is served "

My whole point in all this is people don't think, they don't do any research, and they rely on the media to think for them too much.
The media isn't fair or balanced.
TIME, New York Times, and USA Today would all have one believe that ....King's dream was a color blind society. In fact his dream was redistribution of wealth.
....We are told King hated racism, true but only white racism.
....MLK implied the US was fighting on the wrong side in Vietnam.
....when King was spitting venom at Birmingham or Mississippi, the media loved him, but their memory gets vague when he turned on Northern whites.
On the King holiday, we always get stories of the Birmingham jail or choice few words from " I have a Dream", but the rest of King's story is ignored.

I believe in the redistribution of wealth, we should have never been in Vietnam, I believe in freedom of and from religion as a person desires, a color blind society, Mom, Apple pie and USM...Black/Gold

Redistribution of wealth is just another word for stealing. The irony of it is that the more the government redistributes the more "need" there is.

The political left wishes to redistribute our income, which "Robbing Hood"...or I mean Robin Hood economics.
The left created the "liberal" euphemism to compliment themselves, but are in no way liberal (open minded ) on American history. There is the political correct thought, and then everything else is racist.

Man what are you smoking? Redistribution makes us all economically equal. Karl Marx had a similar plan but I'm not so sure the results were anything to write home about. Punish those who succeed and reward the slakards.

There are those who call anyone who disagrees with them a racist. The epothet "racist " has lost all orginal meaning. Time was it meant someone who felt that their race is superior to others, now "racist" means anyone insensisitive towards a given political agenda. Such as...
opposed to affirmative action? Your a racist !
Didn't vote for Obama ? your a racist !
Organized a Tea Party rally ? your a racist !
have a Confederate flag ? your a racist !
Voted Republican ? Your a racist !
Don't like taxes ? your a racist !
and so on !

Unfortunately, the Confederate flag has been used by racists elements in this country for their own aims. While I can understand the courage and pride it represents, surely you can understand why many find it a symbol of repression and cruelty. I don't think having one makes you a racist, but it can be difficult for people to judge the intentions of the heart.
I am more along the lines of Teddy Roosevelt when it comes to the redistribution of wealth, and I thought Karl Marx was one of the Marx Brothers, Harpo, Chico, Karl and Groucho...Black/Gold

The only people that support the redistribution of wealth are those that don't have any wealth that the government can take from them. (a.k.a. young libtards that don't have a clue, and welfare recipients that are looking for a handout).

The guy is one of the greatest men in the history of the world.

You give no reason for me to believe he only hated white racism. Even if it was true, he didn't lead protests to promote it.
